FAQ

Everything you need to know about this product.

Does the Dimplex Bermondsey need a chimney or flue?

Not at all — the Dimplex Bermondsey is fully electric, so there's nothing to burn and nothing to vent. That means no chimney, no flue, and no ventilation work, which opens up rooms a traditional fire could never go near, from a flat with no chimney breast to an internal wall.

How is the Dimplex Bermondsey installed?

The Dimplex Bermondsey is freestanding, so you can place it wherever suits your room without any fixed installation. There's no chimney, flue, or ventilation work involved, so it's a genuinely straightforward addition to a room rather than a renovation project.

Can I use the flame effect on the Dimplex Bermondsey without the heat on?

Yes — flip the heat off and the flame keeps going. The Dimplex Bermondsey's flame-only setting means it's just as much at home creating atmosphere on a warm summer evening as it is throwing out heat in December.

How do I control the heat and flame settings on the Dimplex Bermondsey?

Everything on the Dimplex Bermondsey is in your hands via the controls on the front of the unit, letting you dial the flame and heat in independently to match the moment. It has multiple heat settings (Off, 1.0kW, 2.0kW).

How much heat does the Dimplex Bermondsey produce?

The Dimplex Bermondsey puts out 2kW of adjustable warmth — enough for genuine everyday heating, not just a token gesture, with the flexibility to ease it back for gentler background warmth or turn it up when the room really needs it.

How realistic does the flame on the Dimplex Bermondsey look?

The Dimplex Bermondsey is built to create a flickering, ambient flame display that brings genuine atmosphere to a room — with none of the fuel, smoke, or maintenance a real fire demands. Realism is always a matter of taste with flame effects, so it's worth watching a demo video if you can before deciding it's right for you.
