DE Statutory Warranty

When you buy from our online shop, you have the statutory rights for defects (statutory warranty) against us, Glen Dimplex Benelux B.V. These rights apply throughout the European Union and are free of charge.
Duration
The statutory warranty lasts two years from delivery of the goods.
If a defect appears within one year of delivery, it is presumed that the goods were already defective on delivery. You then do not have to prove that the defect existed at delivery.
Your rights if there is a defect
- Remedy: you can choose to have the goods repaired or replaced with goods free from defects. We bear the necessary costs, such as transport, labour and materials.
- Withdrawal or price reduction: if a remedy is not possible, fails, is refused by us or is not provided within a reasonable period, you can withdraw from the contract or reduce the purchase price.
- Damages: in addition, you can claim damages or reimbursement of wasted expenses under the statutory conditions.
Statutory warranty and guarantee
In addition to the statutory warranty, we grant a voluntary guarantee of two years. The guarantee applies alongside the statutory warranty; your statutory rights are not restricted by it. The terms are in our guarantee terms.
The difference: the statutory warranty covers defects that already existed on delivery. The guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during the guarantee period.
How to report a defect
Email us at support@glendimplex.com. Please include your order number and describe the defect, with a photo or video if possible. We will review your request and get back to you with the next steps.
